A Birthday Party

Don's birthday fell on a tutoring day, so I decided it would be fun to have a little birthday party for him with the kids. I proposed the idea to Susan who was quick to agree and immediately said she would make the English lesson all about birthdays. Fun!

 Susan teaching the birthday lesson. She asked Carlos "will we sing happy birthday to Mr. Don?" He said yes, and so we did! Then the kids sang him a silly birthday song in Spanish which he loved.

Everyone had a very good time. Leidy surprised Don with a gift: a turtle that had been hand carved and finished by her uncle.

We ended the day with a nice sunset on the beach and dinner at Blue Bahia - a gift arranged by Rachel and Lance.
